The Orthopedic Technologist for First Physician Group (FPG) assists clinicians and providers with orthopedic casting procedures, including the application and removal of casts and splints. The role also supports routine examination and treatment procedures such as wound care and dressing changes. The technologist ensures continuity of post-operative care by providing casting, splinting, and bracing services.
- Require current licensure as a Registered Orthopedic Technologist.
- Require graduate of an accredited Registered Orthopedic Technology (ROT) program.
- Require one (1) year of clinical experience in applying, adjusting, and removing casts.
- Prefer demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.
- Prefer experience utilizing electronic health records.
- Prefer demonstrated initiative and self-direction.
- Prefer demonstrated professional and caring attitude to patients, co-workers, and all customers of the organization.
- Prefer previous experience with wound care, wound vacuum, dressing changes in a hospital, clinic or office practice. as well as general surgery and/or trauma experience.
