This leader has operational accountability and oversight, and manages the daily activities of the department or area. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring team work tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of departmental and organizational goals.
Prefer prior management of anesthesia clinical staff, experience with Qgenda and IPRO software platforms.
Prefer ability to work effectively with hospital leadership, surgical services, nursing, and medical staff with strong focus on team-building, communication, and cross-functional coordination within high-acuity environments.
Prefer quality and regulatory management experience.
Willingness and ability to travel between sites as needed.
- Require a Bachelor's degree. Relevant work experience in healthcare or business administration in a leadership role can be substituted on a year-for-year basis in lieu of the required degree.
- Require current licensure as a State of Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
- Require a minimum of three (3) years of medical practice management experience in a group of three or more physicians, or a hospital-based setting of three or more providers, that included management responsibility for all operational areas including finance.
- Require experience in mentoring/precepting.
- Require Basic Life Support/CPR certification; or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire/transfer date.
- Prefer strong communication skills and ability to effectively consult and counsel all levels of management staff.
- Prefer the ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem solving.
- Prefer ACMPE certification or advanced degree.
- Prefer effective leadership skills and understanding of group processes, teamwork and site/cost center-based management.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to analyze problems and consistently follow through to solution related to clinical and practice needs.
- Prefer demonstrated ability in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Prefer demonstrated fiscal responsibility and the ability to prepare operating and capital expense budgets and financial reports.
- FL Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
