Job Summary

Now Hiring Medical Assistants to join our team to provide excellent customer service in our various provider offices with First Physician's Group. 

 

Various provider offices in the Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, North Port, Gulf Gate, Nokomis and Venice Areas: 

  • Family Practic
  • Internal Meds
  • ENT (ear nose and throat)
  • GI
  • Neurology
  • Endocrinology
  • Laryngology
  • Pulmonology
  • Dermatology
  • Cardio & Thoracic
  • Urology
  • Plastics

 

Medical Assistant (Clinical Care Coordinator I) Pay Range = $20.00/hr-$27.65/hr 

*Pay rates offered are based on years of Medical Assistant experience (and equity with others on the team).

Required Qualifications

Requires current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by:

-American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA),

-National Healthcare Association (NHA)

-National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by:

-American Medical Technologists (AMT)

-Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)

-National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP); OR a certified EMT.

 

Note: Experienced medical assistants with a minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience, and with a certification from a certifying agency not noted above, or without certification, agrees to register with one of the currently accepted agencies for MA Certification and schedule a test date within 6 months from date of hireTest for certification may be beyond the six (6) month date. Certification must be received and presented to HR within 12 months of date of hire.


- Requires Basic Life Support/CPR certification; or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire/transfer date - Must be from American Heart Association or American Red Cross. 

Preferred Qualifications

- Prefer one (1) year of clinical experience in an outpatient physician’s office practice.
- Prefer experience with electronic practice management and electronic health record programs.
- Prefer the ability to demonstrate self-direction and initiative.
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of electronic practice management and electronic health records software along with skill in all Microsoft office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point).

Mandatory Education

High School Diploma, GED or Certificate

Work Days/Shift/Start Time

*All positions are Monday – Friday. 

*Day shift.
