Job Summary

Fellowship-trained Obstetric Anesthesiologist needed for practice expansion!

Full Description:

  • The anesthesia team is built upon Leadership’s long-standing vision to be the BEST place to be a patient, to work, and to practice medicine. Recent OB fellowship grads wanting a wide scope of practice in a supportive team environment of excellence and professional growth are welcome.
  • Staffing model planned is 30 Anesthesiologists, and 85-100 CRNAs covering 62 sites including Cath Lab, IR, Endo.

Opportunity Highlights:

  • A full-time Anesthesiologist is expected to cover 210 shifts annually, with additional pay for extra shifts.
  • Fellowship Trained in OB and willing to cover Obstetric and General Anesthesia care for patients of Sarasota Memorial Hospital Healthcare System (SMHCS).
  • Participate in call coverage.
  • Average anesthesia volume 40,000 cases annually.
  • Approximately 4200 deliveries per year.
  • Average of 115 C-section per month.
  • Less than FT including PRN employed positions maybe available.
  • Physicians will have oversight of CRNA’s.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Eligible for a Florida medical license and ACLS certification.
  • BE/BC
  • Fellowship-trained in Obstetric anesthesiology is required.
